Batumi Sport International Festivale Nike. Georgia in the “World FICTS Challenge”

Batumi – the second biggest city in Georgia – is the new seat of the “World FICTS Challenge” with the “Batumi International Sports Film Festival Nike” held on September 6-12, 2025.

The Closing Ceremony of the Festival will be held on September 12, at which the winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded to them.

Organizers of the Festival Nike founders are Georgian cinematographers: Film director Maia Archvadze, film producer Zurab Khutsishvili, a film critic-journalist Natia Khorbaladze.

Within the framework of the festival, professional meetings, master classes, retrospectives, meetings of Georgian and foreign cinematographers and athletes with cinema and sports lovers will be held.

The main goal of the film festival is to introduce the audience to new works of world and Georgian sports cinema with high artistic value, new trends of world sports cinema and to promote the actualization of the sports theme in Georgian cinema.

The directorate of the festival offers the authors of the films participating in the festival to participate in an innovative project. Films participating in the main program of the festival will be shown on the air of the Public Broadcaster of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. An interactive audience survey will be conducted. The winner will be awarded a special prize for the sympathy of the audience. Of course, participation in this competition is voluntary.
